What it is:
Bio-stimulants are advanced injectable treatments designed to stimulate your skin’s own collagen and elastin production, offering a regenerative approach to anti-ageing. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume instantly, bio-stimulants work gradually to improve skin structure, firmness, and elasticity over time.
There are several types of bio-stimulants:
- PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid) – known for long-lasting collagen stimulation, ideal for deep volume loss.
- CaHA (Calcium Hydroxylapatite) – provides immediate volume and ongoing collagen stimulation; perfect for lifting and contouring.
- Polynucleotides – derived from DNA fragments, they regenerate damaged skin, improve hydration, and reduce inflammation.
Who it’s good for:
These treatments are ideal for clients seeking a natural, long-term improvement in skin quality, firmness, and volume — especially in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, temples, neck, and décolletage. Suitable for early to advanced signs of ageing, or for those who want subtle but progressive rejuvenation without synthetic fillers.
What to expect: Treatment takes 30–45 minutes depending on the area. Results develop gradually over several weeks as your body builds collagen. A course of 2–3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart is usually recommended. There may be mild swelling or bruising post-treatment, but downtime is minimal. Final results are long-lasting — often 12 to 24 months, with improvements in skin firmness, texture, and contour.
