Today, on March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Day— a global moment to honour women’s achievements, advocate for equality, and challenge biases.
Despite progress, gender equality remains elusive. We must ensure every girl has the opportunity to learn and thrive in order to reach her maximum potential. Recognising the intersectionality of gender inequality is crucial. Women of colour, LGBTQ+ women, and others face compounded discrimination daily, true equality demands addressing these intersections.
International Women’s Day is a call to action. We must advocate for policy changes, support women-owned businesses and Women in general, as well as challenge sexist attitudes. Together, we can break biases, empower change, and create a more inclusive future for all women globally.
Happy International Women’s Day!
